NARENDRA SHARMA FESTIVAL OF DANCE

'NARENDRA SHARMA FESTIVAL OF DANCE'
Hosted by Bhoomika, Creative Dance Centre, Delhi, Technical co-ordinator Murali Basa
Being a technical co-ordinator and Lighting designer for 'Narendra Sharma Festival of Dance', It had given me an experience to understand the 'portability' of solving the technical problems and understanding the technology. The festival is an attempt to create a platform for choreographers and their groups to present their works to Delhi audiences. It had given me an opportunity to work and design for the three new choreography works of Bhoomika. The first day 'Metro Metro', designer of the set and Lighting, was slightly difficult to handle the situations at the auditorum and it made some of things are messed up. The Choregraphy works of Santosh and sumith also made me to think creatively. This festival was a good exposure for me to explore as lighting designer for the choregraphy works of different kind of people.

JAATAKMALA

'JAATAKMALA'
Choreographed by Bharat Sharma,  Lights Design by Murali Basa
A new production 'JAATAKMALA', from Bhoomika Creative Dance Centre had given me a chance to create illusions on stage. The production is a multi layered from Buddhist jataka stories. The vibrations of the the stories are extending to create a spectacular images on the stage with different intensities. It has also provided me to meet challenges in creating private spaces of differnt stories in a separate zones. This production deals with the storis of monkey, gees and tortoise etc. from Buddhist jataka stories. As we toured down to south India with this production, I got a chance each time to redesign the lighting as the specialities available.
