'JAMEELA' Directed by Gargi Bharadwaj, acted and Publicity esign by Murali Basa |
This play 'JAMEELA' is directed by Gargi Bharadwaj on March 8th 2011, on the occasion of woman's day at NIFT auditorium, Hyderabad and in National Theatre Festival, Kozhikkodu, Kerala. The play is an adoption of an auto biography of a sex worker in Kerala. Being an actor in this play, I performed three roles as Politician, Activist and The Head Constable. Apart from Acting I designed the flyer. It was a kind of experience where I have done multi faceted work. It has given me organizing skills and improvements in my acting skills. It also allowed me to realize about the flexible design for a play.
